Finnair and Cathay Pacific Airways have agreed on a new codeshare cooperation on the routes operated by Cathay Dragon, Cathay Pacific Airway’s affiliate, between Hong Kong and selected destinations in Asia.
The new codeshare agreement, effective from June 15, adds four new destinations to Finnair’s network in Asia. The airline’s customers can connect with Cathay Dragon’s flights from Hong Kong to Hanoi and Danang, Yangon, as well as Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
In addition, subject to regulatory approval, Finnair customers can connect from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur from July 11. Flights to Kuala Lumpur can be booked from June 28.
“We warmly welcome this cooperation with Cathay Dragon and are delighted to offer our customers yet more destinations and smooth connections in Asia. Currently Finnair offers ten weekly round trips from Helsinki to Hong Kong and adds a new frequency during this winter season,” says Philip Lewin, Head of Alliances and Partnerships at Finnair.
