FlightSafety International Launches MissionFit

: Nov 26, 2018 - : 2:44 pm

FlightSafety International has launched MissionFit, a new advanced technology interactive training system that is designed to meet the on-site and remote training requirements of government and military agencies and commercial aircraft operators.

The company expects MissionFit to set a higher standard for efficiency, flexibility and cost effectiveness. “This ground-breaking training system further enhances FlightSafety’s leadership in aviation training and simulation technology,” said Ray Johns, Co-CEO, President, Government and Manufacturing.

MissionFit was designed and developed by a cross-function team of simulation engineers, courseware developers and training delivery experts based on input from FlightSafety’s commercial and military customers. It is mobile, reconfigurable, scalable, easy to operate, and can be set up in minutes and operated in a mobile container, aircraft hangar or office area, and is powered by a standard electrical outlet.

The new system is ideal for either on-site or remote instructor-led training as well as for self-learning. MissionFit can be configured to represent virtually any helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft and customized to meet the specific training requirements of the operator. Ideal for Systems Integration, Normal Procedures, Abnormal and Emergency Procedures, General Cockpit Familiarization, Collective Training, Mission Rehearsal, Crew Coordination and Flight Training, MissionFit is designed to meet FAA Level 4 and 5 or equivalent qualification standards.

MissionFit’s glass display features a graphical representation of an aircraft’s flight deck sensitive to movement and touch, uninterrupted by bezels and integrates with wireless tactile panels. The system can be designed to be reconfigured and updated using cloud technology. It can also be outfitted with flight controls, power control levers, tactile and wireless smart panels, and a visual system to match a wide range of training needs. Aircraft type-specific AFCS mode select panels, throttles, gear and flap handles, cursor control devices and multi-function keyboards are easily added.

The company will exhibit  the new system at I/ITSEC 2018 in Orlando.
