Germany Orders Saab RBS15 for New Navy Ships

: Aug 8, 2018 - : 8:29 am

Diehl Defence, Saab’s German partner has placed an order for the RBS15 Mk3 Anti-Ship Missile system to meet a German Navy requirement.

Deliveries will take place during the period 2019 to 2024.

The RBS15 Mk3s will be installed on additional German Navy K130 class ships.

“The order is important for us in the long-term cooperation with our partner Diehl. This order can also be seen as a first step in equipping the ships with our missile, which I see as an opportunity for future orders of the RBS15”, says Görgen Johansson, Head of Business Area Dynamics.

The RBS15 missile system provides fleets, coastal batteries and air forces with advanced anti-ship capabilities.

The missile is jointly produced by Saab and Diehl Defence GmbH & Co and serves with armed forces from Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Thailand and an undisclosed nation.
