The Iranians are building a massive intelligence collecting system in Syria along the border with Israel.
One of Israel’s most recent attacks on the Syrian Golan, was the destruction of a Hezbollah outpost built with the help of Iran near the Israeli border. Israel signaled again that it would not agree to such Iranian activity on its border fences with Syria.
The Iranians, however, so far contained the Israeli responses and did not respond to them. They instead continue with their efforts to build facilities for the upgrade of surface-surface rockets
Israeli sources say that Iran, through its proxy forces, seeks to establish an intensive electronic intelligence gathering system along the Syrian border with an Israeli. The sources assess that only in a later stage the Iranians will make efforts to bring combat forces to very close distances from the Israeli border.
It has already been reported in the Arab press that General Sulimani, who is in charge of the entire Iranian establishment in Syria, intends to recruit up to 200,000 Shiite fighters from across Asia and deploy them in Syria and Iraq to serve the Iranian strategy of destroying Israel’s presence in the region.
