Last two 767-300ERs go Astana

: Dec 18, 2013 - : 11:50 pm

Air Astana has taken delivery of the first of the last two Boeing 767-300ERs to be built, as a precursor to its new 787s to be delivered between 2017 and 2019.

Featuring full lie-flat beds and 15” screens in Business with the usual 9” seat-back screens in Economy, the introduction of the new aircraft brings the Astana fleet average age down to an impressive six years, says said Peter Foster, Air Astana president.

“The arrival of the new Boeing 767s marks another major step in the renewal of the Air Astana fleet… Air Astana can rightly claim one of the youngest fleets in the world,” he said.

Astana will run its new and existing 767s from Almaty, Astana and Atyrau hubs, to Amsterdam, Bangkok, Beijing, Frankfurt, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
