Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation’s SpaceJet M90, earlier known as MRJ90, is on display at the Paris Air Show.
The Mitsubishi SpaceJet aircraft family consists of two planes – the SpaceJet M90, and the SpaceJet M100. The company, which officially announced its Mitsubishi SpaceJet aircraft family on June 13 this year, will officially launch the Spacejet M100 later this year. The SpaceJet M90 is currently undergoing flight tests.
The Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of aircraft is designed to address demand in the underserved regional jet market. “This is a commercial segment where we see great opportunity. As we prepare for entry-into-service for the SpaceJet M90, we are also announcing the SpaceJet M100 – the result of our research and development during the past few years and the answer to the regional market’s current and future needs,” said Hisakazu Mizutani, President, Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation.
The company is also displaying a mock-up of the SpaceJet M100s cabin at the show.
