The combination of NATSEC Asia 2018 and DSA 2018 symbolises the strong cooperation and collaboration between the military units and the police as well as other security agencies, says Malaysia Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
“I believe this unified and holistic approach in upholding national security and public safety is where our future lies,” Hishammuddin said at the DSA 2018 official opening ceremony.
According to Hishammuddin, one of the highlights of DSA 2018 is the Network Centric Operations (NCO) demonstration at the Army Pavilion while special Business-to-Business (B2B) platforms and MoU signing ceremonies will also be organised throughout the duration of DSA to facilitate the forging of new and mutually-beneficial collaborations between the public and private sectors.’
According to official statistics, a record 1500 exhibitors from 60 countries are participating in the DSA 2018. Being held for the first time at MITEC, the four-day exhibition is expected to attract some 50,000 visitors from 70 countries. From its humble beginnings in the 1980s, the DSA show has evolved and adapted to remain relevant and important as the premier event in the defence and security industry, says Hishammuddin.
