About 15 Slovak companies are participating in the ADEX 2026 defense exhibition in Baku, Azerbaijan, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák said.
Slovakia have a national pavilion featuring its defense companies, Kaliňák told reporters. He described the event as the country’s first participation in Azerbaijan.
“This is one of the largest exhibitions in this region,” he said. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to participate.”
The Slovak delegation also plans to showcase an automated mortar system that Kaliňák described as the first product of joint Slovak-Azerbaijani defense cooperation.
“We will also have the opportunity to demonstrate the first result of our joint cooperation — an automated mortar system,” he said.
Kaliňák said the system would also be presented at another stand the following day. He did not provide technical specifications or identify the companies involved.
The minister also plans to hold talks with several defense ministers attending the exhibition.
