Acron Aviation To Supply Flight Recorders For Deutsche Aircraft’s D328eco Regional Turboprop

Acron Aviation has signed a long-term agreement to supply flight recorders and standby avionics for Deutsche Aircraft's D328eco regional turboprop, supporting the next stage of the aircraft's development ahead of its planned entry into service in 2027.

Announced during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, the agreement covers Acron Aviation's 25-hour cockpit voice and flight data recorder system, along with standby equipment designed to meet evolving international safety and certification requirements.

The D328eco, a next-generation 40-seat regional turboprop, is expected to make its maiden flight later this year. Deutsche Aircraft says the aircraft is designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions while improving operating economics for regional airlines.

"This agreement represents more than a supplier relationship; it is the beginning of a long-term partnership built on shared values, innovation and a commitment to advancing regional aviation," said Ron Nye, president of Acron Aviation.

Patricia Ferrari, Deutsche Aircraft's vice president for supply chain, said Acron Aviation's experience in safety-critical avionics made the company an important partner as the D328eco program moves closer to certification and production.

The agreement comes as manufacturers and suppliers continue to invest in more fuel-efficient regional aircraft to meet growing demand for lower-emission aviation.

Acron Aviation is part of Acron Technologies, a defense and aerospace technology group formed following the 2025 acquisition of L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions by private equity firm TJC. The transaction led to the rebranding of the former L3Harris aviation business and the creation of a broader portfolio of aerospace, defense and communications companies under the Acron Technologies name.

Acron Technologies made its formal industry debut at the Farnborough Airshow, where Chief Executive Alan Crawford said the company is bringing together complementary technologies across aviation, defense, space and emergency response while allowing each portfolio company, including Acron Aviation, to continue operating under its existing brand.
