Aerofugia, a leading Chinese electric aviation company under Geely, revealed its AE200 flying car at the recent BEYOND International Science and Innovation Expo in Macao.
The AE200 offers notable safety and cleanliness features and is economically viable. It has garnered strong support from governments worldwide and is poised to serve the diverse travel demands within and between cities in the future. Aerofugia, which is at the forefront of China’s electric aviation industry, possesses capabilities in aircraft development, system integration and civil aviation certification experience.
In August last year, Aerofugia showcased its full-scale electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) technology. In November, it received the first acceptance notification for the qualification of manned eVTOL models in China. The independently developed AE200 has completed its maiden flight and initiated the qualification process under the guidance of regulatory authorities.
The Aerofugia AE200 is a 5-6 seat tilt-rotor pure eVTOL aircraft that is designed to meet the demands of zero-emission, low-noise and high-frequency commercial operations within urban clusters and between cities, with increased payload capacity and range.
