Air Côte d’Ivoire has signed a firm order for four Embraer E175s, along with purchase rights for eight additional aircraft, marking a major step in its fleet renewal and regional growth strategy. The acquisition supports the national carrier’s goal of enhancing connectivity across West Africa and modernising its regional operations.

“This order marks a significant step in our fleet development strategy,” said Laurent Loukou, CEO of Air Côte d’Ivoire. “The E175 is perfectly suited to our regional ambitions and to the size of African markets. Its performance and comfort will allow us to offer a superior passenger experience while improving our efficiency and profitability.”

Configured with 76 seats—12 in Business Class and 64 in Economy—the E175s will deliver improved comfort, range and speed compared to the airline’s current turboprop fleet. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2027, with the order set to be included in Embraer’s Q4 2025 backlog.

Embraer Commercial Aviation President and CEO Arjan Meijer welcomed Air Côte d’Ivoire into the E-Jet family, calling the E175 a proven performer across the continent. “We are honoured to welcome Air Côte d’Ivoire,” he said. “The E175 aligns perfectly with the airline’s vision and will deliver immediate benefits in connectivity, efficiency and passenger satisfaction.”

The E175s will be deployed across Air Côte d’Ivoire’s domestic and regional network, helping expand frequencies, open new routes, and strengthen Abidjan as a regional hub. The jets offer

greater cargo capacity and superior performance over turboprops, enabling the airline to operate more efficiently as it phases out older aircraft.

The new aircraft will also improve connectivity for Air Côte d’Ivoire’s long-haul services, including its recently launched route to Paris Charles de Gaulle, by ensuring smoother feed into the Abidjan hub.
