Airbus and TAECO to develop Asian corporate jet cabin

: Mar 12, 2011 - : 11:08 pm

Airbus announced at Asian Aerospace that it has appointed Xiamen-based TAECO as its first approved business jet cabin-outfitter in Asia-Pacific, and plans to develop cabins tailored to the Asian market.

The move comes as Airbus launched its Phoenix cabin concept for Asian corporate jet customers, offering features such tables designed for the game Mah Jong, a karaoke area and, for Chinese customers in particular, burgundy red fabric.

The main cabin features seating for six people around a large circular-table, which Airbus says is the focus of family life in many Asian cultures – which facilitates work-related discussions and dining.

Airbus has sold around 25 corporate jets in Asia to date, most of them in China.
