AMMROC and Lockheed Martin to Expand Regional MRO Cooperation

AMMROC and Lockheed Martin have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) at Dubai Airshow 2025, strengthening their long-standing partnership and laying the groundwork for expanded cooperation in aviation sustainment, maintenance, and regional support capabilities. The LOI signed at Dubai Airshow aims to build on this foundation, exploring new joint initiatives that expand support capabilities for operators across the region and reinforce the UAE’s position as a center of excellence for advanced MRO services.

The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both companies to advance in-country MRO capacity, enhance technical expertise, and develop deeper collaboration to support customers operating a broad range of aircraft across the UAE and the wider Middle East and North Africa region.

AMMROC CEO Jasem Al Marzooqi said the LOI reinforces a strategic alignment around capability development and operational excellence. “Our partnership with Lockheed Martin reflects a shared vision for excellence and innovation in defense aviation,” he said. “This new step builds on a successful history of collaboration across critical aircraft platforms and enhances our collective goal to

strengthen MRO capabilities that support operational readiness for customers in the UAE and the region.”

The collaboration will further leverage UAE-based expertise and create opportunities for skill development in advanced aerospace technologies.

Gen. John “Mick” Nicholson (U.S. Army, Ret.), Chief Executive for Lockheed Martin Middle East, highlighted the enduring relationship between the UAE and the U.S. defense giant. “This agreement reinforces the longstanding trust between AMMROC and Lockheed Martin,” Nicholson said. “Our collaboration is built on years of technical excellence. It is also an extension of our 50-year partnership with the UAE and our shared commitment to strengthening in-country capabilities that enhance readiness and create opportunities for specialized talent.”

The relationship between the two companies spans multiple platforms and programs. Earlier in 2025, Sikorsky—part of Lockheed Martin—designated AMMROC as an authorized Depot Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center for the UH-60 Black Hawk main and tail rotor blades, marking a major milestone in enhancing local helicopter sustainment capabilities.
