MRO provider Antavia’s new facility at Paris CDG is operational.
The new facility is spread over 2,500 sq.m, and all workspaces have been redesigned following LEAN/5S principles. The opening of the facility comes at a time when the company, which is part of the Ametek Group, is celebrating its 40,000th wheel and brake repair milestone.
“Proximity to CGD is a huge benefit for aircraft operators/owners,” said Ismaël Fadili, Sales & Marketing Director, ANTAVIA. “The move has enabled Antavia to integrate new equipment and further enhance our very short overhaul and tyre change TATs.”
CAAC certified, and located between the main commercial and bizjet hubs of Paris CDG and Paris LBG, Antavia’s new facility also holds its significant inventory of spare parts, including tyres valued at over USD1m.
“It is our policy to duplicate skills and expertise in our areas of niche expertise” said Alan Harding, Divisional Vice President MRO Europe & Asia for Ametek MRO. “We have developed a huge depth of experience in the wheels & brakes arena that Antavia will replicate in Asia as we expand our footprint and increase our services in 2022.”
