Aselsan Showcases Next-Gen Naval Defense Technologies

Türkiye's leading defense electronics firm Aselsan has unveiled a new generation of naval defense technologies at IDEF 2025, underscoring its push for integrated maritime security across air, surface, and underwater domains.

The company introduced three systems developed to meet the complex needs of modern naval forces: the DERİNGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, the GÖKSUR Vertical Launch System (VLS) Advanced Naval Point Defense Missile System, and the CENK 4D 2-Axis AESA Multifunctional Radar.

The DERİNGÖZ AUV is designed for long-endurance underwater missions, capable of autonomous navigation and adaptable for roles such as exploration, surveillance, mine countermeasures, and asset protection. It offers navies an independent underwater asset suited to operations in complex maritime environments.

In the surface defense segment, the GÖKSUR VLS system provides close-in protection against low-flying threats such as sea-skimming cruise missiles, UAVs, and fighter aircraft. Featuring AI-enabled fire control, the system is designed to detect and engage multiple targets rapidly and simultaneously, ensuring agile performance under high-threat conditions.

Complementing these systems is the CENK 4D 2-Axis AESA Radar, which delivers wide-area situational awareness by tracking hundreds of surface and air targets in real-time. Its electronically scanned fixed panels ensure stable performance even in adverse sea states, while the integrated IDENTIFFY SSR-850 IFF system enhances secondary surveillance with reliable target identification and electronic beam steering.

"We are proudly introducing our naval systems, each designed to address the requirements of today's and future multidimensional maritime operations," said Aselsan President and CEO Ahmet Akyol. "These solutions reflect Aselsan's commitment to developing integrated, resilient, and adaptable technologies that strengthen naval forces, both in Türkiye and across the world."
