Aselsan will unveil the Gokdemir Launch System, which provides point air defence against current aerial threats with the Gokdogan missiles, at IDEF.
Gokdemir project is aimed at using the Gokdogan air-to-air missiles for land-based air defence. In the system, the Gokdogan missile, developed by Tubitak Sage, is renewed according to air defence needs.
Gokdemir will perform air defence missions against threats such as warplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, air-to-surface missiles and helicopters.
The Gokdemir Launch System successfully carried out its first fire test with Gokdogan missile in June of last year by being integrated with the Aselsan Fire Management Device (HİSAR A+) or HİSAR Fire Control Center (HİSAR O+).
The system has a very short time of deployment and has features such as 360 degree threat destruction capability with its rotating turret structure, multiple engagement and sequential firing, intermediate stage guidance with data link, missile loading platform and crane system, multi-use canister and wire/wireless communication.
