Turkish defence major Aselsan has been ranked the 18th most valuable defense company in the world and the 9th in Europe, according to a recent ranking published by Visual Capitalist and based on real-time market capitalization data from CompaniesMarketCap.com.
The listing highlights the world’s largest defense contractors by market value and showcases Aselsan's continued growth, technological excellence, and increasing global impact. Aselsan is the only Turkish company among the top 40 on the list that has Raytheon, Honeywell, Safran, Lockheed Martin and Rheinmetall as the top five companies.
In 2024, Aselsan rose to 42nd place in the Defense News Top 100 List, with defence revenue in 2023 showing almost 30% growth to reach nearly US$3 billion. The company’s total turnover was US$3.2 billion, with defence accounting for 94% of the total. In 2023, Aselsan secured new export contracts worth US$601 million, expanding its global footprint to 88 countries.
Aselsan aims to be among the Top 30 companies in the Defense News Top 100 by 2030.
