Aselsan has unveiled several game-changing, next-generation force multipliers at IDEF 2025 with its EJDERHA, GÖKTAN, KORAL 200, and TURAN combat systems being showcased for the first time. The launch ceremony was held with the participation of SSB President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, TSKGV General Manager Bilal Topçu, and Aselsan CEO Ahmet Akyol.
‘We are developing systems to address the changing frameworks encountered on the battlefield. Today, we are sharing a new layer of the ÇELİKKUBBE (Steel Dome). In this context, mass production of ÇELİKKUBBE elements such as HİSAR, SİPER and KORKUT, continues. We have also developed a new concept in the electromagnetic layer. In this context, we have introduced EJDERHA, a weapon that offers a new approach to eliminating threats and evolving attack types in the electromagnetic layer, to the international arena for the first time. We are effectively demonstrating ÇELİKKUBBE's electromagnetic shield. Thanks to this system, all vehicles and UAVs entering this range are now physically rendered inoperable. I emphasize to our nation that this will add new value to ÇELİKKUBBE,’ Akyol stated.
He added that Aselsan had brought a new version of the KORAL weapon system to the show. This system will effectively open highways for aircraft against enemy air defense radars and it is capable of detecting and jamming farther in the electromagnetic spectrum. “I'm proud to say that the effectiveness of the existing KORAL has doubled,” Akyol informed. Aselsan has also introduced the TURAN Military 5G network and as part of ÇELİKKUBBE, has introduced an unmanned version of GÜRZ.
While Aselsan’s GÖKTAN System, combines traditional guided munitions technology with missile technology, the company has developed a system that will deliver the GÖKTAN System to a target at a range of 150 kilometers. “We have completed the system and launched the launches. This will be a significant game-changer in the field. We will continue to develop these systems and introduce these concepts to the world. ÇELİKKUBE has provided us with the opportunity to undertake the entire air defense architecture of NATO with ASELSAN. We will continue to develop these systems,” Akyol stressed.
GÖKTAN, introduced by ASELSAN as part of its Land-Based Precision Strike Systems, delivers pinpoint accuracy on targets from all directions. TOLUN, which has been granted ground-to-ground strike capability, can
now reache targets at longer ranges with a 360-degree engagement, capable of firing six rounds. With its GNSS jamming resistance and reverse-direction firing capability, the GÖKTAN 100 will make a significant difference in the field.
One of the products on display, the KORAL 200, is capable of neutralizing enemy air defense systems and ensures effective air operations during attacks. A product of the most advanced national electronic warfare technology, the KORAL 200 can silence enemy air defences. Aselsan’s EJDERHA, next-generation YGEM anti-UAV system, can neutralize drones as well as mini/micro UAVs using microwaves. Its unique design and high mobility allow for rapid deployment in the field.
Aselsan is also showcasing its TURAN 100-BR-OM, which provides uninterrupted communications in the tactical field. TURAN provides all the communication services required by tactical field units during their operations with an integrated system solution. TURAN 100 is mobile and has IP-based communication capabilities. Enabling communication, long-range high-speed connections, and robust encryption, TURAN ensures seamless coordination.
The GÜRZ Unmanned Air Defense System is a VSHORADS capable of deploying to a predetermined location either remotely via a remote command station or through its built-in artificial intelligence. With its onboard very short-range missiles, GÜRZ can conduct air defense missions against fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, air-to-ground missiles, and Class 2 UAVs at ranges of up to 8 kilometers
