Astrophysics, a US-based X-ray scanner manufacturer, is exhibiting its XIS-6040SE checkpoint scanner with new Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the show. The company’s AI has the capability to automatically detect weapons such as guns or knives, and liquid containers.
The machine can automatically stop its conveyor belt once the AI detects something suspicious. The implementation of AI is meant to reduce the human operators’ burden as well as to reduce the time it takes to scan visitors’ baggage.
The company is also assisting the event’s security by placing three of its XIS-6040SE to screen the visitors and secure the entrances.
