The KASIRGA drone, designed for strike and reconnaissance missions, is making its public debut at the ADEX 2026 defense exhibition in Baku.
The unmanned aircraft was developed by Bayraktar Teknoloji, the Azerbaijani subsidiary of Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar, according to the report.
KASIRGA can take off and land vertically, allowing it to operate without a runway. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 33 kilograms, a reported operational range of 60 to 90 kilometers and a top speed of 222 kilometers per hour. Its height and wingspan each measure 1.7 meters.
The drone uses autonomous flight controls, visual positioning and combined sensor data for navigation, the report said.
In its strike configuration, KASIRGA is designed to identify a target and dive toward it with a 5-kilogram warhead.
For reconnaissance and surveillance missions, the aircraft carries an electro-optical camera and can return to base after completing its flight, according to the report. That capability allows it to conduct reusable surveillance missions as well as one-way strikes.
