BAE Systems to Share Technologies with AMMROC

: Feb 20, 2019 - : 12:01 am

Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) and BAE Systems will now move ahead with the terms for provision of a greater level of technology transfer for products in service with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) armed forces.

Abu Dhabi based AMMROC will look to receive to technology from BAE Systems, primarily for the F-16 fighter aircraft, leading to the eventual manufacture of these parts in-country.

These efforts will allow greater in-country MRO support for aircraft and systems operated by the UAE military. Future efforts will also be made to undertake MRO work for other air forces in the region.

AMMROC is also supporting the UAE Hawk aircraft fleet until 2020, with access to BAE System’s engineering expertise on the Hawk Mk61, Mk102 and Mk63 aircraft.
