BAE Systems and Infoglobal recently signed an agreement that will provide Infoglobal with a range of technical and materiel support services in support of their upgrade of Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU), Hawk Mk 109 aircraft. The agreement includes overhaul of key aircraft components and provision of interface data on the existing avionic systems along with a reach back service into the engineering team based in the UK.
This technology transfer should accelerate the development of the indigenous systems that will form the core of the new Mk 109 systems. Mike Swales, BAE Systems International Markets Director said, “I hope this agreement provides IG with the data necessary to develop their avionics suite for the Mk 109 and extends the aircraft life into the next decade. We look forwards to working with IG over the coming months on this and future programmes.”
