Bharat Forge Ltd. and Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS have announced a collaboration to set up a new aerospace manufacturing facility in India. The announcement was made during Aero India 2025.
The facility, to be located at Bharat Forge’s headquarters in Pune, is expected to become operational in 2025. It will include a ring mill and advanced machining technologies for producing high-precision components, including landing gear parts. The initiative is aimed at meeting the growing global demand in the aerospace sector.
Bharat Forge Ltd. is leading the investment in the facility, which will integrate raw material processing, forging, and machining technologies.

Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, based in Toulouse, France, is part of the Liebherr Group. The company supplies aerospace and transportation solutions, including environmental control and thermal management systems, flight control and actuation systems, landing gears, and on-board electronics for civil and defence customers. It also provides heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for rail vehicles, as well as trailer cooling solutions for commercial vehicles.
