CARACAL Light Ammunition, a subsidiary of the UAE’s EDGE Group, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with PT Pindad, an Indonesian state-owned defence manufacturer, for the procurement of small-calibre ammunition components.
The agreement was signed during the International Defence Exhibition & Conference 2025 (IDEX 2025) and is intended to support CARACAL Light Ammunition’s efforts to secure its supply chain for critical components.
The LOI is also part of broader cooperation between the UAE and Indonesia aimed at strengthening Indonesia’s defence industry. It aligns with efforts under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to increase bilateral trade between the two countries to USD 10 billion by 2030.
