Cathay Moves Freighter Ops to Al Maktoum

Cathay Pacific is to move its freighter operations from Dubai International to Al Maktoum International airport from 01 February 2014. Cathay currently operates 7 weekly freighter services via Dubai using Boeing 747 freighters, explained Brian Yuen, Cathay Country Manager for UAE and Qatar.

“We believe the move will better serve us and bring our service level to a new high,” he said. Cathay recently opened a new Cargo Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), designed for an annual air cargo throughput capacity of 2.6 million tonnes.
