China Aerospace Long-March International Trade Co., Ltd., known as ALIT, is set to participate in international defense exhibitions.
The sixth Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition is scheduled for Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 at the Baku Expo Center.
Aside from ALIT, organizers say companies from China are among those expected to exhibit.
ALIT is a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. It has displayed military products at previous defense exhibitions, according to its parent company.
ADEX organizers say the exhibition will feature aircraft, unmanned systems, armored vehicles, naval equipment and other defense technologies.
Just last month, ALIT held talks with defense officials in Indonesia and Uganda this year on potential cooperation involving drones and other military technology.
In April, representatives of the company, known as ALIT, met Indonesian air force officials in Jakarta to discuss unmanned aircraft, air defense and space technology. The talks concerned potential cooperation; no agreement was reported.
In July, Ugandan military chief Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba met an ALIT delegation in Fort Portal. Uganda’s military said the company offers air defense, precision-guided systems, drones and coastal surveillance technology, but did not announce a purchase or partnership.
ALIT is a subsidiary of the state-owned China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp.
