With the increasing speed, diversity, and scale of aerial threats, today’s defense landscape requires integrated and adaptable protection systems. ASELSAN addresses this need with its layered air and missile defense structure that combines strategic reach, mobility, and precision. Developed entirely with national capabilities, SİPER, HİSAR O 100, and GÜRZ 200 work in unison to provide 360-degree coverage, from long-range interceptions to close-range engagements and serve as key elements of Türkiye’s “Steel Dome” air defense architecture, developed with ROKETSAN and TÜBİTAK SAGE.
SİPER: Long-Range Precision for National Defense
Designed to secure strategic facilities against high-altitude and long-distance threats, ASELSAN’s SİPER 1 and SİPER 2 offer interception ranges beyond 100 km and 150 km, with engagement altitudes up to 30 km. With 360-degree coverage, multi-radar fusion, and RF-seeker guided missiles, SİPER ensures precision targeting and rapid response under all conditions.
Each system includes a battalion-level command and control center, long-range surveillance radar, and battery-level fire control systems, with multiple launchers capable of successive firing and simultaneous engagements. Thanks to modular deployment, SİPER can be transported by land, sea, air, or rail, and operates in full coordination with land, air, and naval command units via secure tactical data links
HİSAR O 100: Agile Mid-Range Protection
ASELSAN’s HİSAR O 100 provides agile, precise, and flexible defense against medium-range aerial threats. With a detection range over 55 km and interception capability beyond 25 km, it can simultaneously track and engage up to 100 targets. Its distributed, open architecture supports both battery- and battalion-level configurations, ideal for protecting bases, infrastructure, and stationary forces.
At the battery level, the system comprises a Fire Control Center, multi-function radar, electro-optical system, three Missile Launching Systems, and a Missile Transport and Reloading System. Its vertical launcher delivers 360-degree coverage and fast, successive engagements, even under challenging conditions. Fully interoperable through Link 1, 11B, 16, and JREAP, HİSAR O 100 integrates seamlessly into broader air defense networks. As a key component in Türkiye’s layered defense, HİSAR O 100 bridges long-range coverage and close-range responsiveness.
GÜRZ 200: Mobile and Multi-Effector Defense for Close Range
When it comes to close-range and highly mobile defense, ASELSAN’s GÜRZ 200 offers a next‑generation multi‑effector solution. Combining 35mm airburst‑capable guns, very short and short-range missiles, and soft-kill technologies, GÜRZ delivers autonomous protection against a broad target spectrum, from UAV swarms and helicopters to cruise missiles and fast-moving aerial threats.
Its AESA radar, EO suite, and integrated fire-control system enable fast reaction, 360° coverage, and fire-on-the-move capability. The system automatically evaluates threats and assigns weapons using indigenous fire-control algorithms, ensuring precise and timely engagements. Mounted on an 8x8 tactical vehicle and protected against nuclear, biological, and chemical threats, GÜRZ is optimized for hide-fire-displace tactics, making it the ultimate mobile shield for frontline units and high-value targets operating in dynamic combat environments.
Layered and Scalable Framework for National Air Defense
Together, SİPER, HİSAR O 100 and GÜRZ 200 reflect ASELSAN’s vision for a fully integrated, scalable and indigenous air defense network, representing company’s game changing technologies. These systems empower nations to respond to today’s with speed, precision and confidence, while serving as key components of Türkiye’s national air defense shield, the Steel Dome.
