Dominik Wiener-Silva has been appointed managing director of EPCOR, the 100% subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M based in Amsterdam, specialized in APU and component support. He will assume charge on Sept. 1.

After five years working as AFI KLM E&M VP Sales Asia Pacific in Singapore, Wiener-Silva will take over from Martijn de Vries, who will be appointed VP Engine Services in Amsterdam.

In recent years, under de Vries’ management, EPCOR has been able to develop its service offering on the latest generation of aircraft such as the Boeing 787 and more recently the Airbus A330neo and A220. He has also enabled the ramp-up of the predictive maintenance tool PROGNOS for APU, the implementation of digital solutions like the Virtual Table Inspection and a new customer portal.

“Over the past five years, Dominik spearheaded AFI KLM E&M’s strategy of growth in the Asia Pacific region,” said Ton Dortmans, Executive Vice President of KLM E&M. ” Leading a strong commercial team, he has achieved many commercial successes, always driven by the partnership mindset that is so fundamental in our MRO business and characteristic of our brand. EPCOR and its customers can rely on Dominik’s considerable knowledge of the E&M business and his 20 years of experience in the MRO industry.”

“I am excited to join the EPCOR family at this challenging time and to continue the strategic development of the company with a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer support,” said Wiener-Silva.
