A new multiplayer-layered underwater defence solution is making its debut at IMDEX, from Israeli firm DSIT Solutions. The company is presenting its Shield Sonar Family and a land-based Mission Control Station (MCS), which can help defend again underwater threats for ports, harbors, shore & offshore sites as well as other strategic assets, at sea and on land.
“DSIT Solutions Ltd. is proud to unveil its unique and comprehensive Underwater Security System of systems at Singapore, presenting a full Underwater Defense suite, which is based on the company’s proven capabilities and vast experience in underwater technologies and threats environment”, says Mr. Hanan Marom, the company’s Business Development and Marketing & Sales VP. “Our solutions are modular, cost effective, present tailor made capabilities according to specific customer’s needs and are compatible with other existing platform’s systems”.
DSIT has developed a multi-layered defence solution by integrating various proven capabilities and systems into one comprehensive incorporated solution, such as its Shieldfamily of sonars, which include the SeaShieldASW sonar and the AquaShield Diver Detection Sonar (DDS). Both these systems, which are stationary can cost-effectively cover immediate and close-ranged threats.
The PointShield Portable Diver Detection Sonar (PDDS) system is used to protect strategic assets and ships when on-board vessels at shallow waters, and the FishASW family of sonar systems detects approaching underwater threats that are a risk to those assets.
DSIT is also displaying its state-of-the-art full tactical submarine mission sonar simulation and training system at the show. The company is also showcasing its Portable Acoustic Range (PAR) systems, which accurately measure the radiated noise of ships and submarines while maintaining the vessels’ low noise signature.
