The third day of the show saw Abu-Dhabi headquartered Edge Group unveiling new platforms, forming strategic partnerships with international companies, and signing new agreements.

The company unveiled five cutting-edge land platforms, including three new variants of NIMR’s AJBAN MK2, MILREM’s HAVOC 8x8 Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV), and AL JASOOR’s upgraded RABDAN 8x8 Recovery Vehicle.

EDGE Group entity, ADSB, formed a strategic partnership with Indra, to equip ADSB’s FA-400 offshore patrol vessel with Indra’s advanced 3D Radar, Radar Electronic Support Measures (R-ESM), Communications Electronic Support Measures (C-ESM), and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) jammers. It also received orders to supply aerial munitions and GPS-PROTECT anti-jamming systems to the UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Khaled Al Zaabi, President – Platforms & Systems, EDGE, said: “As we continue to expand our land systems portfolio, EDGE is delivering advanced, globally competitive solutions that address the full spectrum of operational requirements – manned and unmanned. Through NIMR, MILREM ROBOTICS, and AL JASOOR, we are strengthening our capabilities with cutting-edge platforms that enhance mobility, survivability, and mission effectiveness. By investing in innovation and scalable technologies, we are positioning EDGE as a leader in next-generation land systems, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of modern warfare and meet the evolving demands of global defence forces.”

The three new multi-role armoured vehicle variants in the AJBAN series include the MK2 AJBAN 452A which accommodates up to eleven personnel, making it ideal as an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), Observation, Ambulance, or Internal Security vehicle. The AJBAN 432AU is a versatile, blast-protected light tactical logistics and utility vehicle with an upgraded three-crew capacity, specifically developed to accommodate a mortar system, while the AJBAN 441AE is a robust five-crew platform designed for logistics and mortar carrier operations. Engineered for operational support, it features a longer wheelbase and a modular internal layout, allowing seamless adaptation for cargo transport, shelters, and mortar carrier configurations. Additionally, both the AJBAN 432AU and 441AE can carry a shelter, further enhancing their versatility.

Milrem Robotics’ HAVOC 8x8 Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) marks a major advancement in hybrid unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology and weighs significantly less than manned 8x8 vehicles, it delivers superior off-road performance, instantaneous torque delivery, and pivot steering for optimal mobility in rugged and urban terrains. AL JASOOR, a joint venture between EDGE and Otokar, launched the upgraded RABDAN Recovery, a high-performance 8x8 armoured recovery vehicle designed for rapid battlefield operations. Powered by a 720 HP engine, it offers exceptional mobility and high ballistic and mine

The FA-400 is a vessel entirely designed and constructed in the UAE and the integration of Indra’s advanced radar and electromagnetic systems will enhance the FA-400’s capabilities to meet a range of operational challenges.” The FA-400, equipped with Indra’s advanced radar, electronic warfare, and counter-UAS solutions, is on display at the NAVDEX mooring.

EDGE has also been awarded an AED 4.36 billion contract to supply aerial munitions to the UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD). Saif Al Dahbashi, President – Missiles and Weapons, EDGE, said: “This long-term contract reinforces the trust that the MoD places in our ability to deliver mission-critical materiel. A steady and secure supply of ordnance is essential to our customers and through strategic investments, we are rapidly developing an industrial base that is capable of swiftly responding to operational requirements at an accelerated pace.” Under the offtake agreement contract, EDGE entity LAHAB DEFENCE SYSTEMS, the UAE’s exclusive munitions manufacturer, will produce and deliver MK 81, 82, 83, and 84 general-purpose aerial munitions to the UAE MoD.

EDGE has also been awarded a UAE Ministry of Defence (MoD) contract valued at AED 227 million to supply GPS-PROTECT anti-jamming systems. Omar Al Zaabi, President –Trading and Mission Support, EDGE, said: “In today’s operational environment, satellite technology is integral to the command and control, and navigation of most platforms, playing a vital role in achieving the mission objective. Capable of deployment on air, land, and sea assets, the GPS-PROTECT was purposefully developed to guarantee satellite signals remain available for continuous operation in a jammed environment. This contract is a critical step in ensuring the UAE Ministry of Defence achieves superiority across the electromagnetic spectrum.”

Under the contract, EDGE’s electronic warfare entity SIGN4L, will produce and supply GPS-PROTECT anti-jammer systems to the UAE MoD. The GPS-PROTECT is a compact and cost-effective anti-jammer system that safeguards global navigation satellite system receivers installed on prime mission equipment from interference and jamming.
