Elbit Systems of Israel has announced the award of a large contract worth approximately US$670 million contract.
A company release while providing scant details has stated that Elbit will supply defense solutions to a country in Asia-Pacific and the contract will be concluded over a 25-month period.
“This significant contract award is a testament to the trust that customers place with our solutions and to the leading position we hold in the market,” said Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, Elbit Systems President & CEO.
Elbit had announced earlier in February, that it would provide customers in Asia-Pacific with airborne laser Direct Infra-Red Counter Measure (DIRCM) systems as part of contracts worth approximately $136 million.
Deliveries will be concluded over a four-year period, which will see Elbit Systems equip fleets of Airbus and Boeing aircraft with DIRCM systems from the MUSICTM family, including the Company’s infra-red missile warning systems.
