Israeli company Elbit Systems is in the final stages of negotiations about a deal that will include the sale of advanced UAS to the Philippines.

The deal is valued at US$200 million and is expected to include two types of UAS – the Hermes 450 and the Hermes-900.

In addition, the Philippine army wants to buy Elbit’s Skylark UAS, used by the Israeli defense forces (IDF) ground forces, mainly the artillery units.

Elbit systems has intensified its marketing efforts in Asia and according to Israeli sources more deals are “on the table”.

Recently, Elbit systems has acquired Israel military industries (IMI) and that added ground-ground missiles to its portfolio. These missiles are now being offered to some Asian countries.

Elbit systems was reluctant to comment on the UAS deal now in final stages of negotiations.
