Elettronica Adopts New Organisational Model for Business Growth

Domitilla Benigni,  Chief Operating Officer of Elettronica, has been appointed co-CEO of the organization. Enzo Benigni will continue to be Chairman and CEO of the company.

The appointment, which was approved by the board of directors led by  Benigni and Vice Chairman Roberto Turcoa, has been made to support further growth of the company’s products, processes and markets.  Benigni, who will continue to be COO, will hold specific powers to ensure a greater focus on long-term strategic choices, innovation, sustainability and profitability.

Elettronica, a leader in the Electronic Warfare sector for 70 years, is a supplier of more than 3000 hi-tech systems to the armed forces and governments of 30 countries.  Its systems are designed for diverse key operating missions, from strategic surveillance to self-protection, Signir, electronic defence and operating support for air, naval and land applications.

With a view to improving communication with Italian and international institutions, a Governmental & Institutional Relation unit has been established under the management of Lorenzo Benigni, Senior Vice President Governmental & Institutional Relation. The company’s operating management will be consolidated and reinforced by creating three new operating units reporting directly to the CEO and COO.

Simone Astiaso will head the Engineering & Operations Unit, which will supervise the coordination and integration of the company’s operating areas. The Strategy, Innovation & Transformation Unit, which aims at building the company’s medium and long term strategic corporate and product sustainability, will be headed by Gianni Maratta.

Alberto De Arcangelis. will be in charge of the “Future business: Tempest, EFA, EVO and Public Financing” unit. The unit will coordinate activities aimed at achieving the aims of the main consortium programmes and of Italian and international funds.

A new Planning and Risk Management Unit, headed by Chief Risk Officer Ermanno Petricca, has been created to supervise the risk management process and the Digital Proposal Configurator system.  Amaury Choppin will continue to be in charge of the Administration & Control unit while the Global Sales and Business Development unit will continue to be headed by Paolo Izzo.

Lavinio Perotti will remain in charge of Legal, Corporate Affairs and Security. The Operational Excellence and Process Improvement section will continue to be headed by Maria Giovanna Addario Chieco. The People, Organization and Communication section will be led by Massimo De Bari while – Programs has been entrusted to Luciano Notarantonio

Elettronica is a participant in all the main modern military platforms such as Tornado fighters, the Typhoon Eurofighter, the NFH-90 helicopter, the Italian PPA platform, the Italian and French Horizon and FREMM vessels and a wide range of projects in countries around the world. It is a part of the Elettronica Group that also includes CY4GATE, a unit specialized in Cyber EW, Cybersecurity and Intelligence, and Elettronica Gmbh, a German subsidiary specialised in the design of Homeland Security systems.
