As part of the Italy-Saudi Arabia institutional round table, ELT Group has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with SAMI Advanced Electronics Company (SAMI-AEC), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), as well as Shamal, a Saudi-owned company that provides services in the defence domain.
The agreements were signed in the presence of the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni and the Saudi Minister of Investment H.E. Khalid A. Al Falih.
The MoU with SAMI-AEC builds upon an agreement signed at the Cernobbio Forum last September between ELT Group, the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA), and the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI). By aligning its activities with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives, ELT Group aims to explore collaboration opportunities in the aerospace and defense sectors, contributing to the localization of advanced technologies.
Having established a presence in Saudi Arabia, ELT Group is now advancing its efforts to an industrial scale through the partnership with SAMI-AEC. The Group has over 70 years of expertise in electromagnetic spectrum management and the development of advanced electronic defense systems across all domains.
Shamal MoU
As part of the agreement, ELT and Shamal will work together to provide training solutions in defence electronics and cyber. Cy4gate, the ELT group investee company specialized in Cyber Intelligence & Cyber Security, is involved in the iniatitive. One of the ambitious goals of the collaboration is to support and expand the capacities already present in Saudi Arabia, thanks to the expertise developed by the ELT Group in all domains.
The agreement represents a concrete proof of the strong commitment of ELT Group towards KSA’s Vision 2030 strategic objectives, aiming at implementing solid and long lasting partnership in the aerospace and defence sectors. Recently the Group established a Saudi-law company, Elettronica for Industry Saudi Arabia LLC, focused on localizing logistical support and expanding the defense value chain.
