Embraer has had a busy start to the Farnborough Airshow.
The Brazilian aircraft OEM followed up a good first day of the show with an even better one on Tuesday, announcing multiple contracts for the sale of passenger jets and freighters, as well as for MRO services.
Abra Group Eyes Up to 45 E195-E2
Abra Group, parent of Avianca, Gol and WamosAir, has signed an agreement with Embraer for the acquisition of 20 E195-E2 aircraft. Abra will also receive 10 purchase options and 15 purchase rights, for a total of up to 45 aircraft. The first aircraft delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.
“The E195-E2 will provide Abra with flexibility to pursue new opportunities as part of our disciplined approach to fleet deployment, and delivering greater value when and where our customers need it most.," said Adrian Neuhauser, CEO of Abra.
Fuji Dream Airlines
Embraer announced that (FDA), a full-service regional airline that has operated E-Jets since commencing operations in 2009, has placed a firm order for two E175 aircraft. Delivery will begin in 2027.

"FDA currently operates a fleet of 15 Embraer aircraft, consisting of two E170s and thirteen E175s," said Shunsuke Honda, President of Fuji Dream Airlines. "The introduction of these new aircraft will enhance our capacity and help further strengthen our network connecting communities across Japan."
Binter Wants More E195-E2s
Binter, a Canary Islands carrier that operates an extensive network connecting the islands with destinations across Spain, Europe, and Africa, has placed an additional order for five E195-E2 aircraft. The agreement also includes four purchase rights.
The E195-E2 has played a key role in Binter’s services. The aircraft’s range and capacity make it ideally suited for the airline’s network, connecting the Canary Islands with destinations across Spain and beyond.
“This new order reflects the outstanding performance of the E195-E2 in service and the value it delivers through exceptional efficiency, passenger comfort, and operational flexibility," said Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation. "Binter has become a benchmark for successful E2 operations, with this fourth order underscoring its confidence in the aircraft’s performance."
Luxair Expands E2 Fleet
Embraer announced on Tuesday that Luxair, the national airline of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, has converted existing purchase rights for three E190-E2 aircraft into firm orders and secured one additional purchase right.
Luxair had previously ordered six E195-E2 aircraft, four of which are operating across its network. With the new announcement, Luxair’s firm E2 order book increases to nine aircraft.
“The outstanding performance of our first E195-E2 aircraft has confirmed that the E2 family is the right platform for Luxair,” said Gilles Feith, Chief Executive Officer of Luxair. “The E190-E2 is an excellent complement to our growing fleet, giving us greater flexibility to match capacity to the specific requirements of each route while preserving fleet commonality and the operational efficiencies of a single aircraft family.
Azorra Wants Freighters
Embraer on Tuesday signed an agreement with Azorra for 20 passenger-to-freighter conversions firm orders and 10 purchase rights, bringing the total agreement to up to 30 aircraft. The order follows the successful entry into service of the E190F in March.
"The E-Jet Freighter is an ideal replacement for older 737 freighters, offering reliable, Stage 4 noise-compliant operations and, with Azorra’s CF34 engine program, unmatched operating costs," said John Evans, CEO of Azorra.

"This agreement is a strong endorsement of the E-Freighter and reflects growing demand for efficient, right-sized cargo solutions worldwide."
Extension of MRO Services Contract
Embraer and SkyWest Airlines have extended a long-term heavy maintenance agreement covering SkyWest’s fleet of 271 Embraer E175 aircraft in the United States.
The agreement expands the scope of an existing program and increases available maintenance capacity for SkyWest’s E175 fleet. Work will be carried out at Embraer Services & Support facilities in Nashville, Tennessee; Macon, Georgia; and Fort Worth, Texas.
“This heavy maintenance agreement is an important part of keeping our E175 fleet strong and reliable,” Joe Sigg, SkyWest’s vice president of maintenance, said.
SkyWest is the world’s largest owner-operator of the Embraer E175. The regional carrier operates through capacity-purchase and partnership agreements with United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and Alaska Airlines.
Strata and Embraer Join Hands
Strata Manufacturing, an advanced composite aerostructures manufacturer, and Embraer on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen collaboration in advanced aerospace manufacturing.
The MoA establishes a framework for evaluating the potential supply of advanced composite aerostructures by Strata for Embraer's commercial aircraft programs. Under the agreement, both companies will collaborate on the assessment of work packages for the Embraer E2 family of aircraft, progressing through a structured roadmap of technical, commercial, and contractual milestones.
MRO Partnership with Mubadala
Embraer and Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company signed a Strategic Framework Agreement on Tuesday to establish a pathway to a long-term collaboration across supply, MRO), human capital development, and research and development.
The agreement was signed by Dimas Douglas Tomelin, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer of Embraer and Amer Siddiqui, Executive Director at Mubadala's UAE Investments Platform. The partnership draws on the UAE's integrated aerospace ecosystem, which spans aerostructures, advanced materials, MRO, and aviation services.
