Eve UAM and Skyports will partner to support the development of a new Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), including Urban Air Mobility (UAM), for the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).
The contract, signed on Thursday during the ongoing Singapore Airshow, also involves partners including Kanematsu Corporation, a Japanese trading company with businesses in the aerospace industry, and Japan Airlines (JAL).
“Our partnership with Eve continues to provide an important means of helping authorities around the world understand and develop the optimum conditions to enable commercial electric air taxi operations,” said Duncan Walker, Chief Executive Officer at Skyports. “We are honored to be able to bring our unique knowledge of infrastructure provision to bear for JCAB to accelerate the adoption of advanced air mobility across Japan.”
Skyports is a company in the AAM business. The company designs, builds, and operates infrastructure for air taxis, and partners with world-class electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) passenger and cargo vehicle manufacturers around the world.
Eve UAM is a subsidiary of Embraer dedicated to accelerating the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem. The company has its own advanced eVTOL project, including a comprehensive global services and support network to provide air traffic management solution.
