Exosens will present its latest innovations in night vision and infrared imaging at DSEI Japan 2025, to be held from 21 to 23 May at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo. The group will exhibit at booth H5-232 through its specialist brands, Photonis and Xenics.
DSEI Japan is the country’s leading defence and security exhibition, bringing together government officials, military personnel, and industry stakeholders to explore developments in defence technology. As Japan’s only large-scale defence trade show, it serves as a key platform for international collaboration and technology exchange.
Exosens, through Photonis, will highlight its expertise in image intensifier technologies developed over more than eight decades. Photonis is a recognised global supplier of night vision solutions, delivering image intensifier tubes used in military-grade goggles and systems. Its focus remains on enhancing operational effectiveness in demanding environments.
The Photonis 4G+ image intensifier tube will be a central feature at the show. Designed to meet modern battlefield requirements, it provides improved image resolution, extended detection range, and fast auto-gating. The established 4G image intensifier—used by numerous armed forces around the world—will also be presented, alongside innovations such as white phosphor tubes and compact 16mm formats that support the development of lighter, more advanced night vision equipment.
Xenics, another Exosens brand, will demonstrate its capabilities in infrared imaging. A live demonstration of the Crius 1280 uncooled thermal core is planned, offering a high-resolution solution for long-range observation and surveillance. Xenics provides a broad range of uncooled LWIR and SWIR cameras and cores designed for defence applications, addressing size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C) constraints as well as more performance-driven requirements.
Together, Photonis and Xenics underscore Exosens’ position as a comprehensive provider of advanced vision technologies for modern defence operations.
