In what is expected to provide a fillip to its global operations, Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (GAMECO) has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval to supply self-manufactured parts to EASA-registered aircraft.
The Chinese MRO began efforts to obtain EASA approval in August 2017. The approval will help the company reduce its maintenance costs and also expand its revenue-generating options.
“After the issuance of the approval for the first time, there will be a two-year continuous monitoring period during which GAMECO will receive regular audits by the audit team,” the company said.
