Global Business Press has been chosen as the exclusive official show daily partner at Famex 2019, which is to be held from April 24-27 in Mexico. The bilingual show daily will be published in English and Spanish on the first three days of the show.
An agreement to that effect was signed by Brigadier General Rodolfo Rodriguez Quezada, Famex Committee President, and Vittorio Rossi Prudente, GBP Editor and Publisher, in the presence of Femia Director General/Managing Director Luis Lizcano on the sidelines of the ongoing Farnborough International Airshow in London.
The commercial trade show for defence, civil and military aeronautics is the biggest in the region and drew more than 500 exhibitors from 35 countries last year. The show, which will have Canada as the partner country, is being held in the backdrop of the giant strides that Mexico has made in the aviation sector; the industry recorded an 18 percent increase in 2016.
The country’s aviation industry focuses on aircraft, engine and auxiliary equipment manufacturing, and is one of the biggest players on the market. It is ranked 14th for aerospace manufacturing in the world and is the sixth-biggest exporter of aerospace parts to the U.S., the world’s largest aerospace market. Companies such as Bombardier, Bell Helicopter, Beechcraft, MD helicopter, Safran Group, GE and the Airbus Group have developed design and engineering centers in the country.
With more than 25 years of experience in defence publishing, Global Business Press and its industry leading titles Asian Defence Technology, Asian Airlines & Aerospace and Daily News are the leading defence publications in the region, present at more international shows and exhibitions than any other competing publication in the region.
