GE Aerospace, Software as a Service (SaaS), announced on Monday that the Air France KLM Group — Air France, Hop! and Transavia France — has signed a five-year agreement for Fuel Insight, GE Aerospace’s fuel analytics solution that helps airlines optimize fuel planning and performance and supports sustainability reporting.
This agreement extends Fuel Insight’s footprint across the broader Air France KLM Group. Four Air Operator Certificates are already using the solution, KLM, KLC, Martinair, and Transavia Holland, and the Air France KLM Group’s adoption means the entire group will be using Fuel Insight, with an expectation that a shared platform will further reinforce internal cooperation and best-practice sharing.
“Fuel remains one of the biggest drivers of airline operating costs, and it’s also central to sustainability progress,” said Andrew Coleman, President and General Manager, GE Aerospace, Software as a Service. “We’re honored to support Air France KLM Group as they expand Fuel Insight across the business. Fuel Insight helps airlines spend less time chasing data and more time capturing savings, surfacing actionable opportunities, tracking impact over time, and helping ensure fuel-saving efforts translate into repeatable results.”
Christian Gauthier, Executive Vice President, Transformation and Sustainable Development Air France added, “We’re excited to bring Fuel Insight across Air France, Hop! and Transavia France as a shared foundation for how we identify, prioritize and scale fuel initiatives. By aligning around one common set of insights, our teams will be able to move faster and work more effectively together. We see strong potential not only to accelerate fuel savings and deliver tangible economic benefits, but also to support our decarbonization ambitions by reducing emissions and strengthening the confidence and consistency of our reporting across the group.”
Fuel Insight supports airline fuel programs by helping users optimize fuel planning and efficiency with realistic fuel consumption metrics, including the ability to calculate aircraft performance factors and integrate with flight planning systems. Across customers using Fuel Insight, GE Aerospace estimates the solution has supported approximately 1.4 million tons of CO2 savings across customers using the solution.
