Against the backdrop of a resurgent Asia-Pacific market, which currently accounts for 52% of global aviation growth, Gulfstream Aerospace has established a commanding presence in the region. The American airframer’s participation in the ongoing show underscores a strategic focus on a region where passenger and cargo traffic growth rates are currently the highest in the world, with regional load factors projected to reach an all-time high of 84.4% this year.
G700, G500 on Display
Gulfstream’s exhibition at the event is headlined by the static display of its flagship G700 and the high-performance G500. These aircraft represent the pinnacle of the manufacturer’s efforts to marry ultra-long-range capabilities with advanced flight deck technology and cabin comfort. The G700, in particular, is positioned as a primary solution for the region’s growing requirement for intercontinental travel, offering the range and speed necessary to link major Asian financial hubs with European and North American markets seamlessly.
Demand Highest in APAC
The Asia-Pacific region has become a critical proving ground for Gulfstream’s latest innovations. According to recent sales data, Gulfstream delivered 158 business jets in 2025—a significant increase from 136 in 2024—contributing to a total aerospace backlog of US$21.83 billion. This momentum is heavily driven by demand in Asia, where the manufacturer now maintains a fleet of nearly 330 aircraft across China, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and India. The regional strategy extends beyond aircraft sales; Gulfstream has doubled its inventory of spare parts in the Asia-Pacific over the past year to support its expanding customer base.
Regional Commitment
The importance of the Singaporean market was reinforced by Scott Neal, Gulfstream’s Senior Vice President for Worldwide Sales, who noted that Singapore alone accounts for approximately 10% of the company’s regional fleet. Speaking on the regional demand, Neal stated: “Safety, speed, and range are among the top performance attributes for customers in Asia-Pacific, and Gulfstream has been leading the industry in this space for more than a decade.” He further added that the current product line offers “operators in Asia the opportunity to select an aircraft, or a fleet, that is tailored precisely to their mission requirements.”
