HAL Commits to Accelerate Tejas Mk-1A Deliveries

The Indian state-owned airframer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has committed to accelerate deliveries of the Tejas Mk-1A fighter jet, which is being shown publicly at the ongoing airshow for the first time. Deliveries of the first Tejas Mk-1A to the Indian Air Force (IAF) are delayed by a year and DK Sunil, HAL CMD, while speaking to the media stated that 11 aircraft will be ready by the end of this year. HAL is making strenuous efforts to increase the production rate to manufacture 24 aircraft annually from three production lines by 026. It has setup three production lines for Tejas Mk-1A production, two of which are in bengaluru, with a third newer production line now setup at Nashik.
