Hanwha Aerospace has entered ino a three-year framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), which includes an initial call-off order worth approximately US$110 million to supply Modular Charge Systems (MCS) for Sweden's artillery forces. This is the second MCS supply agreement between Hanwha Aerospace and Sweden, building on a successful initial contract from last year. Billy Boo-Hwan Lee, Head of the PGM Business Group at Hanwha Aerospace said, ‘This contract is a tangible result of the deep trust and collaborative partnership we have built with Sweden.’ Hanwha Aerospace now plans to expand its business presence to neighboring countries such as Norway and strengthen its defense cooperation with Sweden by proposing other advanced weapon systems, including the K9 SPH and the Chunmoo Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS). "Our contracts with Hanwha are an important part of securing propellent supplies, While we also invest significant effort in Nordic cooperation to increase production capacity within the region,” said Jonas Lotnse, Head of the Army Material Division at FMV. Hanwha Aerospace’s MCS is a state-of-the-art propellant system designed for 155mm artillery platforms. Its modular design allows for greater operational flexibility, enabling artillery crews to adjust the propellant amount to match specific range and firing conditions.
