ADVENT-AI, HAVELSAN’s AI-enabled approach built on ADVENT CMS, has been recently unveiled as a new step toward agile decision making, enhanced situational awareness, and stronger response capability against emerging threats in modern operational environments.
The company, in collaboration with the Turkish Naval Forces Command’s ARMERKOM, unveiled ADVENT-AI at SAHA Expo 2026, presenting the first phase of its artificial intelligence-enabled approach developed to address the growing complexity, uncertainty, and asymmetric threats of the modern battlespace. ADVENT-AI is the AI-enhanced evolution of the ADVENT combat management system.
ADVENT-AI is designed to introduce AI-supported data processing, analysis, and decision-support capabilities into the combat management environment. By enriching the tactical picture, shortening reaction times, and supporting accurate operational decisions, it enhances mission effectiveness, particularly in high-tempo scenarios.
Rather than simply displaying flowing data, ADVENT-AI continuously processes, understands and interprets it to support decision making. Recently developed module analyzes sensor tracks in real time and applies anomaly detection algorithms at track level, helping identify irregular patterns at an early stage. This is intended to support operators in recognizing potential risks sooner and allowing to act upon more effectively.
The system's visual detection and classification capability is designed to support continuous tracking in challenging operational conditions, including environments affected by electronic warfare and signal disruption. Information collected from different sources is brought together under a single AI-supported tactical picture, providing a more structured and prioritized operational view. Rather than freqently switching between multiple data layers, operators are supported with a clearer and more structured picture.
ADVENT-AI also introduces predictive support functions. AI-based models are being developed to provide estimations during engagement phases, supporting improved firing outcomes and more informed decision making processes. In parallel, the system is designed to further contribute to navigation and platform safety by monitoring the surrounding environment and highlighting potential risks at an early stage.
Interaction with the system is simplified through a voice-assisted interface, allowing operators to issue commands through natural speech. This capability is intended to reduce manual workload and help maintain operational focus, especially in time critical situations. In the background, a smart monitoring and analysis layer is developed to track system performance and support operational readiness.
ADVENT-AI is built on a modular architecture, enabling artificial intelligence capabilities to be progressively integrated into the ADVENT ecosystem. This approach allows for continuous development, adaptation to different operational requirements needs, and future scalability across multiple platforms.
Whilst certain AI modules are currently being explored and tested on platforms such as unmanned naval systems, broader integration is also planned as part of a phased roadmap. The system is designed to operate under human supervision, where artificial intelligence supports analysis, prioritization, and recommendations, while the final decision remains with the operator.
“Our focus with ADVENT-AI is straightforward; helping operators make faster and reliable decisions in demanding opreational environments," said HAVELSAN CEO Mehmet Akif Nacar. "We understand artificial intelligence as a way to support human judgment, not replace it.”
