HETEK Lift- und Hebetechnik GmbH, a German company specialising in lifting systems and levelling supports, will present its Type 260 lifting system at this year’s IDET defence and security exhibition in Brno.
The system consists of four individual supports that allow containers or functional modules to be unloaded and reloaded from trucks without requiring external equipment such as cranes or forklifts. It is designed for use in military and security applications, including mobile kitchens, field hospitals, radar units, and command structures.
“Our lifting systems are used in military and security-related areas for loading and unloading containers, kitchen modules, field hospital units, radar systems or command structures. All these mobile systems must be loaded, set down and leveled for transport to the place of use to ensure proper functioning. Thanks to our lifting systems, cranes or similar equipment are not needed on site, which minimizes the effort and saves time and increases flexibility,” explains Gregor Magier, Sales Manager at Hetek.
The lifting systems feature encapsulated drive spindles that are protected against sand and dust, enabling motorised or manual operation even in challenging conditions. They are typically mounted using ISO corners on the container or module.
The Type 260 system offers a total lifting capacity of 15 tonnes, with each support rated for up to 7.5 tonnes. It allows ergonomic lifting and lowering with a lifting height of 1,750 mm, optionally up to 2,000 mm. The system can be operated on terrain with an inclination of up to 3.5°, or 7° with an optional upgrade, and is rated for temperatures from -32°C to +49°C.
“With a maximum lifting capacity of 7.5 tons per support, the system is able to ensure safe and precise height adjustment. An integrated tilt control allows for parallel lifting from a vehicle. The container is then also horizontally positioned or aligned parallel to the ground,” explains Yvonne Nachtweih, sales manager at Hetek.
Two configurations will be on display at IDET: the 260-T01 swivel boom and the 260-T02 pull-out boom. The swivel boom is deployed by swinging the supports outward into position, while the pull-out version slides the supports into place using a crossbeam. The pull-out system is better suited to vehicles with limited space, requiring only 200 mm of clearance compared to the 600 mm needed for the swivel type.
“Since a minimum distance of 600 mm is required between the driver's cab and the container when mounting the swivel boom on the front side, this lifting system can only be used on vehicles with the necessary distance. The 260-T02 pull-out boom, on the other hand, requires only a distance of 200 mm and can therefore be used safely where space is limited. But it can also be used in combination with a swivel-out boom at the rear,” says Magier.
In addition, the swivel boom can be mounted lengthwise. “This means that we can offer the right lifting system for every type of vehicle,” adds Nachtweih. Both systems can remain mounted on the container or module during transport.
Hetek offers global service and long-term product support. “Our products are designed for a long service life in demanding environmental conditions. With our reliable maintenance, testing, repairs, training, factory reconditioning and spare parts supply, we support our customers, no matter where they are in the world, even 15 years after the initial purchase. We know how important the reliable use of our systems is, especially in safety-critical applications,” continues Magier.
Hetek also supplies levelling systems to position containers horizontally. Options include open spindle designs and electrically driven systems that operate synchronously and can be integrated into corner columns or niches.
