Hungarian company 4iG Space and Defence Technologies plans to exhibit its aerospace, land and digital defense capabilities at the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition in Baku from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.
The company said it will appear alongside portfolio companies Hirtenberger Defence Systems and Gestamen Research & Development at the Baku Expo Center. Their exhibit will be at stand 4A012.
Known as ADEX 2026, the exhibition will give 4iG a platform to present its five main business areas: space, aerospace, land systems, weapons and ammunition, and cybersecurity and defense digitalization.
Last month, Hungary’s 4iG Group invested $100 million in Axiom Space last month, becoming the U.S. space company’s largest European strategic investor, according to 4iG.
The investment by 4iG Space and Defence Technologies was completed in two stages as part of a funding round in which Axiom raised more than $525 million. Japanese financial group Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group was among the other investors.
4iG said the partnership could involve work on orbital data centers, commercial space stations, human spaceflight and research in microgravity. The company also sees potential links to HUSAT, its Hungarian satellite program, but did not announce specific joint projects.
Axiom said the new funding would support its human spaceflight services, spacesuit development and Axiom Station, a planned commercial space station.
