Russia’s Rosoboronexport is showcasing technical characteristics, unique design solutions, and employment features of the KORD balanced action assault rifles, the Kalashnikov AK-19 assault rifle, and the Lebedev compact pistol (PLC) at IDEX 2021.
The 6P68 Kord assault rifle, manufactured by ZiD (JSC Degtyarev Plant) is expected to provide high accuracy in the hands of special forces soldiers. According to the company, experts especially note its unique characteristics in automatic firing mode owing to an innovative balanced action system.
The Kalashnikov AK platform has evolved into the AK-19 assault rifle, chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO with a telescopic stock and other technical solutions that improve its ergonomics. The rifle is equipped with a non-detachable slotted flash suppressor, a quick-detachable sound suppressor, an extended sightline, and new sights.
