IMI Showcases Line of Fire Power

: May 23, 2018 - : 3:51 pm

Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) is showcasing its line of fire power with the Predator Hawk, EXTRA and the ACCULAR missiles at the ongoing KADEX.

IMI feels that there is a potential for selling the 370-mm Predator Hawk, which has a range of 300 km, to several countries in the region.

The rocket has the capability to carry a 140-kilogram warhead. The other missile on display is the ACCULAR 122mm caliber rocket, which is equipped with a 20kg of penetration or controlled fragmentation warhead suitable for most of the targets in today’s battlefield.

“It is the most cost-effective accurate rocket for neutralising targets in the tactical battlefield and for ground forces support and is designed to support ground forces in areas where traditional artillery is limited by the accuracy and long range missiles are not cost-effective,” says an IMI official.

ACCULAR is equipped with advanced warheads, either controlled fragmentation or for penetration, and offers an accuracy of less than 10m circular error probability (CEP).

IMI is also hoping to sell its EXTRA EXTended Range Artillery, used by Israel Defence Forces, Azerbaijan and Vietnam. The EXTRA has a range of around 150 km, the weight of 150 kg missile, CEP of about 10 m. The EXTRA missile contains a solid propellant motor, stabilizing block, warhead, and GPS/INS guidance and steering section. It can be launched by IMI’s LYNX truck launcher, as well as from a variety of other available vehicle launchers.
