The Indonesian Ministry of Defence has officially announced its final preparations for the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum, to be held from 11 to 14 June 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
With the theme “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace & Stability,” this year’s event underscores the importance of international cooperation in promoting global security. Recognised as one of the world’s largest defence exhibitions, Indo Defence 2024 will serve as a platform to enhance both bilateral and multilateral ties in the defence sector.
The 10th edition of Indo Defence is expected to attract 1,180 exhibitors from 55 countries, highlighting its role as a key forum for the global defence economy. The strong interest from participants signals Indonesia’s opportunity to showcase its domestic defence industry products and foster international partnerships.
DEFEND ID, Indonesia’s state-owned defence holding company, will present key innovations developed by Indonesian engineers. Highlights include PT Len Industri’s Ground Controlled Interception (GCI) Radar, PT Dahana’s P-100L/P-250L/P-500L bomb series, PT Dirgantara Indonesia’s CN235 special mission aircraft, PT Pindad’s Maung MV3 Electric Tactical Vehicle (Morino EV), and PT PAL Indonesia’s 140-metre Frigate.
Supporting events will complement the exhibition, including the Defence Technology Forum on 12 June, featuring sessions on Asymmetric Warfare Technology, Advancements in Cyber Warfare, and Innovation in Dismounted Soldier Systems. A Technical Product Presentation (TPP) will run from 11 to 13 June across four sector-specific theatres: Land, Naval, Air, and Cyber Security. This will give exhibitors a dedicated platform to highlight their latest products and developments.
Additionally, the Indo Defence Open Stage Forum will take place throughout the exhibition, covering topics such as national MRO capacity and capability, the N219 aircraft’s role in regional connectivity, AI-driven aviation supply chains by MetaBrain, and cybersecurity awareness.
The exhibition is open to the general public on June 14th, offering an opportunity for wider audiences to engage with the latest developments in defence technology and industry.
Originally scheduled for last year, Indo Defence 2024 was postponed to allow for more thorough preparation, ensuring a high-quality and innovative event that meets participants’ and stakeholders’ expectations. The extended planning period aims to position Indo Defence 2024 as a globally competitive exhibition that contributes significantly to the advancement of Indonesia’s defence industry.
The press gathering, held in the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika room, was attended by key officials from the Ministry of Defence, including the Vice Minister of Defence, the Inspector General of the Ministry, and the Acting Director General of Defence Potential. Their attendance highlights the government’s commitment to defence diplomacy and the promotion of homegrown technologies.
