Ukrainian drone manufacturer SkyFall's P1-SUN interceptor drone has been publicly displayed outside Ukraine for the first time. The company is showcasing the product at the ongoing Dubai Airshow 2025.
SkyFall, which also produces the Shrike FPV drone that has been successfully used by Ukraine’s military, is highlighting other combat-tested unmanned systems as well at the show. The P1-SUN interceptor has a modular design built around a 3D-printed airframe, and is already being mass produced.
According to SkyFall, P1-SUN is a drone designed to intercept Shahed UAVs, the Iranian-designed attack drones that Russia has extensively used in strikes on Ukrainian cities. Interceptors such as P1-SUN is part of an effort to deploy domestically developed systems in large number, based on the “Octopus” technology, to withstand Shahed attacks.
The demand for Ukrainian drones is increasing. According to reports, the Pentagon has begun turning to Ukraine’s combat-proven systems, and has added Skyfall as an approved supplier and exploring integration of the company's drones into American weapons.
